HANGOVER RELIEF
It is incorrect to refer to “curing hangover” or taking a “hangover cure” because a hangover is not a disease to be “cured.” There is no viral infection, no bacterial invasion of the body, etc. A hangover is simply an unwanted combination of after-effects induced by voluntary alcohol consumption. With time, generally 6 to 8 hours or longer, hangover symptoms (headache, dizziness, nausea, etc.) will simply disappear as the body completes its natural process of “alcohol detoxification” and replenishment of lost fluids and nutrients, at which time everything returns to normal. This raises the question, “why wait until the damage has been done?” As the old saying goes: “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure”.
